Memorandum

TO: Grateful Dogs Customers

FROM: Grateful Dogs Management

RE: COVID-19

As our community faces the coronavirus pandemic, we here at Grateful Dogs wanted to let our loyal customers know how we plan to keep our shop as safe and clean as possible.

Our mission here at Grateful Dogs is not only to provide professional grooming services but to provide your dogs with a safe and healthy environment both in grooming and in our dog daycare. We also want our customers and staff to be safe and healthy too.

Although Grateful Dogs already has diligent cleaning processes, we have increased them to now include hourly disinfecting of all door handles, surfaces, and phones here at the shop, including the debit/credit machine touch pad.

And, although our staff already washes their hands regularly, all of us have increased our hand washing due to the circumstances. We are also lucky enough to have a small amount of hand sanitizer available for them, along with our customers.

CAN DOGS GET COVID-19?

Although, per the CDC, the virus cannot be transferred from human to pet, or vice versa, if you have been diagnosed with the virus the CDC states the following:

"You should restrict contact with pets and other animals while you are sick with COVID-19, just like you would around other people. Although there have not been reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19, it is still recommended that people sick with COVID-19 limit contact with animals until more information is known about the virus. When possible, have another member of your household care for your animals while you are sick. If you are sick with COVID-19, avoid contact with your pet, including petting, snuggling, being kissed or licked, and sharing food. If you must care for your pet or be around animals while you are sick, wash your hands before and after you interact with pets and wear a facemask."

CAN MY DOG BE GROOMED AT GRATEFUL DOGS IF I HAVE COVID-19?

If you or someone in your household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and would like your dog groomed here at Grateful Dogs, please be transparent with us when calling to schedule your appointment. Just as we are not breed discriminatory, we will also not discriminate against anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We will bath or groom your dog, all we ask is that a healthy family member or friend drop off your pup. Your dog groomer will wear gloves until your dog has been bathed. Furthermore, the groomers will then follow our strict cleaning guidelines to ensure their tools and grooming area are fully sanitized for their next appointment.

CAN MY DOG COME TO GRATEFUL DOGS DAYCAMP IF I HAVE COVID-19?

If you or someone in your household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 please do not bring your dog to Grateful Dogs Daycamp at this time. Once you and all of your family members are healthy, please have your dog bathed and then they can return to daycare.

We understand that this is a trying time for many, and that there is a lot of fear in our community, and the world as a whole right now. We send our prayers out to all of those who have lost loved ones from this virus. We trust that we will all make it through this pandemic as long as we maintain good hygiene, take the best care of ourselves and our family members as we possibly can, do not panic or hoard, and lift up in prayer those who are less fortunate than we are. In everything that we do and no matter what is happening, there is always a reason to remain grateful.

Please do not hesitate to contact Lysa, Jason, or Taylor if you have questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Grateful Dogs Management
